Our School Archivist enjoyed leading a Discovery Day session with our enthusiastic Year 1 pupils.听
The children explored old photographs of pupils who attended Hurst in the 19th century and tried on vintage school caps and scarves. They were amused by the uniform worn by the first girls to join the College and delighted to learn that peacocks once wandered the school grounds. A highlight was getting to hold some of the silver trophies awarded for excellence to pupils many years before them.听
To finish, Year 1 learnt about our school motto and the significance of the eagle on our school crest.听
