Children enjoyed a fantastic day of discovery on their recent trip to the Lewes Railway Land Nature Reserve, where they immersed themselves in the wonders of the natural world.Ìý

Throughout the visit, the children took part in a wide range of engaging activities designed to deepen their understanding of meadow and woodland habitats. They learnt about the different plants and animals that call these environments home, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for nature.Ìý

One of the highlights of the day was a fun and interactive scavenger hunt. Armed with keen eyes and checklists, the children searched for a variety of plants, learning their names and discovering how some are used in everyday life. Their excitement grew as they spotted different species and shared their findings with one another.Ìý

The adventure continued with a mini beast hunt, where the children carefully explored the surroundings to find tiny creatures. Inspired by what they found, they then used clay to create their own mini beast models, showcasing creativity alongside their new knowledge.Ìý
