One of the highlights of the day was handling real Roman artefacts, giving pupils a unique opportunity to connect with the past. The children also practisedÌýwriting their namesÌýin Latin using traditional wax tablets and papyrus paper, discovering how Roman children would have writtenÌýnearly 2,000Ìýyears ago.Ìý
The experience was made even more memorable as pupils dressed up as Roman royalty, helping them imagine what life might have been like for wealthy Romans. Outside, the children explored the villa gardens, learning about the different plants grown by the Romans and how they were used for food, medicine, and daily life.Ìý
