Our school community came together for a special event in honour of International Women鈥檚 Day, celebrating the strength, creativity, and resilience of women both within and beyond our school. The evening brought together pupils, families, staff, and guests for a programme of reflection, artistic expression, and charitable support 鈥 all centred around this year鈥檚 theme of Giving to Gain.

A heartfelt thank you went to Laura from The Oasis Project, who spoke about the charity鈥檚 incredible work supporting women, children, and families. She shared how the organisation helped individuals find the strength and opportunities needed to make choices that led to positive and lasting change.

The evening was beautifully opened by Char in Fifth Form, whose moving speech highlighted the importance of International Women鈥檚 Day and the power of community and support. Her words set an inspiring tone that carried through the whole event.

Guests then enjoyed a creative collage workshop led by artist Di Ford, who guided pupils, families, and staff in exploring the theme 鈥淕ive to Gain鈥. Participants created individual pieces reflecting their personal strengths, values, and influences, which will be brought together to form a collective artwork honouring the women within our community.

The evening was further enriched by wonderful performances from our Upper Sixth singers, who filled the space with music throughout.

All proceeds from the event went to The Oasis Project, proudly represented by our half marathon runners Charlotte, Georgie, and Clemmie. Their commitment embodied the spirit of giving and supporting those who need it most.

A huge thank you went to everyone who attended and supported this fabulous event. Together, we truly showed the spirit of Giving to Gain.
