Reception pupils enjoyed an exciting educational trip to Amberley Museum, where they explored how transport and vehicles have changed from the past to the present day.Ìý

During the visit, children travelled on a beautifully restored vintage train and experienced a ride on anÌýopenÌýtoppedÌýbus that was an impressive 100 years old. They also took part in a fascinating workshop where they learnt how woodenÌýcartwheelsÌýwere made—once used by bakers selling bread—and discovered why these wheels were fitted with metal tyres.Ìý

The group explored the history of bicycles too, comparing early designs with modern versions. Pupils had the chance to try out old bicycle bells and examine historicÌýgas-poweredÌýbicycle lamps.Ìý

It was a fantastic day ofÌýhands-onÌýlearning, filled with curiosity, excitement, and plenty of opportunities to see history come to life.Ìý
