The Hurst Equestrian Team enjoyed an exceptional February Half Term, competing at two major events and returning with an impressive collection of rosettes, wins, and championship qualifications.Ìý
Pupils travelled toÌýCoombelandsÌýEquestrianÌýfor theÌýNSEA Eventers ChallengeÌýqualifiers. Competing in theÌý70cm class, Hurst riders delivered a series of superb performances. The team not only securedÌýfirst placeÌýbut also qualified forÌýthe Eventers Challenge Final, set to take place inÌýMay 2026 atÌýHicksteadÌýShowground.ÌýCongratulations to Amelie P, Scarlett C, and Hettie MC forÌýtheir winning team effort.ÌýAmelia B also shone individually, finishing 3rd andÌýearning her spot in the individual final—a fantastic achievement for the young rider.Ìý
The momentum atÌýFelbridge Showground, where team members competed in theÌýShow Jumping qualifiersÌýfor the NSEA Championships, to be held inÌýOctober at Addington Manor, Buckinghamshire. Hurst riders dominated the first class of the day, theÌý70cm, securing another team winÌýand their championship qualification.
A huge well done toÌýRosie C, Amelia B, Amelie P, and Scarlett C. There were standout individual results too:ÌýRosie CÌýtopped the class riding her new horse,ÌýHungary’s Bruce, whileÌýAmelie P took 3rd place—both securing individual qualification for the 70cm championship.ÌýÌý
The team’s success continued into the next class, where they finishedÌý2nd.ÌýCongratulations toÌýDarcey G, Scarlett C, Rosie C, and Amelia BÌýfor theirÌýstrong performance. A special mention goes toÌýRosie C,Ìýwho claimedÌýher third win of the day, earning individual qualification for theÌý80cmÌýclass—a remarkable achievement so early in the season.Ìý
Hurst pupils also excelled beyond NSEA competitions.ÌýRosanna AÌýimpressed atÌýGolden Cross, placing 2ndÌýin a highly competitive 70cm Arena Eventing class against both adults and her contemporaries. She later returned to Golden Cross for show jumping, where she and her super pony, Lily, claimed victory in the 60cmÌýclass. A huge well done to Rosanna for her outstanding halfÌýterm results.Ìý
