The Hurst Equestrian Team enjoyed an exceptional February Half Term, competing at two major events and returning with an impressive collection of rosettes, wins, and championship qualifications.听
Pupils travelled to听Coombelands听Equestrian听for the听NSEA Eventers Challenge听qualifiers. Competing in the听70cm class, Hurst riders delivered a series of superb performances. The team not only secured听first place听but also qualified for听the Eventers Challenge Final, set to take place in听May 2026 at听Hickstead听Showground.听Congratulations to Amelie P, Scarlett C, and Hettie MC for听their winning team effort.听Amelia B also shone individually, finishing 3rd and听earning her spot in the individual final鈥攁 fantastic achievement for the young rider.听
The momentum at听Felbridge Showground, where team members competed in the听Show Jumping qualifiers听for the NSEA Championships, to be held in听October at Addington Manor, Buckinghamshire. Hurst riders dominated the first class of the day, the听70cm, securing another team win听and their championship qualification.
A huge well done to听Rosie C, Amelia B, Amelie P, and Scarlett C. There were standout individual results too:听Rosie C听topped the class riding her new horse,听Hungary鈥檚 Bruce, while听Amelie P took 3rd place鈥攂oth securing individual qualification for the 70cm championship.听听
The team’s success continued into the next class, where they finished听2nd.听Congratulations to听Darcey G, Scarlett C, Rosie C, and Amelia B听for their听strong performance. A special mention goes to听Rosie C,听who claimed听her third win of the day, earning individual qualification for the听80cm听class鈥攁 remarkable achievement so early in the season.听
Hurst pupils also excelled beyond NSEA competitions.听Rosanna A听impressed at听Golden Cross, placing 2nd听in a highly competitive 70cm Arena Eventing class against both adults and her contemporaries. She later returned to Golden Cross for show jumping, where she and her super pony, Lily, claimed victory in the 60cm听class. A huge well done to Rosanna for her outstanding half听term results.听
