The U13 IAPS Netball team delivered an impressive performance at the National Finals,听demonstrating听determination,听skill听and teamwork throughout a demanding day of competition.听
The squad opened the tournament with confidence, securing a strong run of results and scoring freely despite battling challenging windy conditions. Their final group match against听Hoebridge听proved particularly tense. After taking a 2鈥�0 lead into halftime, the team found it harder to convert chances in the second half. A few听difficult decisions听disrupted their rhythm, allowing听Hoebridge听to pull level. The match ended in a draw, though the result was enough to confirm the team鈥檚 position at the top of their group.听
Finishing first earned the team a听well-deserved听place in the Cup quarterfinals, where they faced a resilient Dean Close side. The contest was tight from start to finish, with the scores level at both halftime and fulltime. Extra time brought five minutes of intense,听nail-biting听netball, but despite their best efforts, the team conceded twice and narrowly听missed out on听progressing further.听Even so, securing eighth place nationally is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the听team鈥檚 quality and determination.听
