Our Year 6 pupils shone brightly during this year鈥檚 Personal Project Morning, an event designed to听showcase听their ability to think independently, research deeply, and present confidently. Each听pupil听selected a theme that held personal significance and crafted a clear yes听or听no debate question to explore. From听鈥淪hould AI be banned in schools?鈥听迟辞听鈥淎re听Jellycat听toys too expensive?鈥,听their topics reflected individuality, curiosity, and personal passions.

Since returning in January, pupils have been working diligently during their Hurst for Life lessons, gathering information, weighing arguments, and developing a balanced viewpoint. This process encouraged them not only to research but also to question, challenge, and refine their thinking 鈥 essential skills that will serve them well far beyond the classroom.

On the day, pupils presented their findings through thoughtful and creative displays, which they shared proudly with visiting parents and staff. The room buzzed with conversation as children explained their research, justified their conclusions, and responded to questions with growing confidence.

The morning was a wonderful celebration of their hard work, and it was clear that all pupils were fully engaged and genuinely proud of what they had achieved. Their enthusiasm was infectious, highlighting just how capable and curious our Year 6 learners truly are.
