Pupils in Years 7 and 8 were treated to an exciting Masterclass Morning, offering a unique opportunity to explore new skills and subjects beyond the traditional classroom.听Pupils听selected two sessions from an impressive lineup, each designed to spark curiosity and creativity.

From Maths, where pupils discovered 鈥渢he maths behind choosing鈥 and learned to 鈥渃ount like a real mathematician,鈥 to English, which introduced the art of Visual Poetry, combining words and images in imaginative ways, the morning was packed with variety.

Science enthusiasts stepped into the role of detectives in a CSI forensic murder mystery, analysing crime scene elements and weighing evidence to听identify听suspects. Meanwhile, Humanities offered a reflective experience with Meditation and Mandalas, exploring Buddhist and Hindu traditions through creative mandala-making and guided meditation.

Social Sciences brought politics to life with an Elections workshop, where pupils learned about democratic principles before staging their own mock election.听Modern Foreign听Languages took centre stage听with a听French and Spanish Theatre, giving students the chance to perform short plays in a foreign tongue.

Creative arts were well represented: Drama introduced the expressive Laban Technique, while Dance transported pupils to 1920s New York with energetic Charleston and Lindy Hop moves. Art and Photography offered a tactile challenge through Weaving Pebbles, and Latin/Classics tested problem-solving skills in an escape-room-style adventure, Escape from the Labyrinth.

Sport lovers enjoyed a PE Masterclass, combining practical NFL Flag Football with theoretical insights into GCSE PE. Music rounded off the morning with a lively Percussion Workshop, building rhythm skills and collaborative performance.
